OUR PRACTICE
Our practice is built on a foundation of specialist surgical
excellence, academic rigour, and a genuine commitment to the long-term
wellbeing of every patient. Led by Dr Robert George — one of Sydney's most
credentialed soft tissue and general surgeons — we offer a level of clinical
depth, procedural range, and personalised care that is genuinely rare in a
single practice.
About Dr Robert George
Dr Robert George is a Board-Certified Specialist Surgeon
holding fellowship qualifications in Breast Surgery, Surgical Oncology,
Emergency Surgery, and Melanoma, Sarcoma and Endocrine Surgery. His career
represents one of the most comprehensive surgical training pathways available
in Australia — spanning academic medicine, international research, and clinical
sub-specialisation across multiple elite institutions.
Dr George completed Medical School in 2007 as the
University Medallist — the highest academic distinction awarded to a graduating
medical cohort. Following graduation, he undertook broad clinical experience
across multiple specialties before committing to surgical training based at
Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, one of Australia's foremost teaching
hospitals.
During his surgical training, Dr George completed a
Masters of Surgery and was awarded a competitive Scientific PhD through a
research appointment in Stockholm, Sweden in 2017 — demonstrating a commitment
to advancing surgical knowledge at the highest international level. He was
awarded his Fellowship by the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in
2020.
Following his FRACS, Dr George completed three additional
sub-specialty fellowships — in Emergency Surgery, Breast Surgery, and Melanoma,
Sarcoma and Endocrine Surgery — at Royal North Shore Hospital, the Melanoma
Institute of Australia, and Prince of Wales Hospital respectively. Each
fellowship represents a distinct and demanding area of surgical expertise, and
collectively they underpin the exceptional breadth of conditions Dr George is
qualified to assess and treat.

Clinical Philosophy
Despite the breadth and complexity of his surgical
training, Dr George is known above all for the quality and character of his
patient relationships. He believes that the best surgical outcomes are
inseparable from clear communication, honest counsel, and a genuine investment
in each patient's long-term wellbeing.
Every patient who comes to our practice receives
personalised, evidence-based care delivered within a framework of transparency
and trust. Dr George takes the time to ensure each patient understands their
condition, their options, and the reasoning behind every recommendation. He
does not apply a template — he applies judgement, shaped by years of specialist
training and a genuine respect for the individual in front of him.
For aesthetic patients, this philosophy extends to a
structured, goal-oriented approach to care. In collaboration with our Dermal
Clinician, Renee, Dr George ensures that every aesthetic patient receives a
comprehensive clinical assessment report — a personalised, written plan that
maps out their treatment journey, expected outcomes, and full cost transparency
from the very first consultation.
